KanumiTerms of Service
These terms cover your use of the Kanumi app and this website. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Kanumi.
1. Who may use Kanumi
You must be 13 or older. If the law where you live sets a higher age for agreeing to online services on your own, you must meet that age instead.
2. Your account
- Give a real email address you control. Security codes go there, and it is how we verify a deletion request.
- Keep your password to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
- One account is signed in at a time. Signing in on a new device signs the previous one out. This is deliberate.
- Tell us at support@hsiangya.com if you think someone else has access to your account.
3. Machine-generated content
Example sentences, translations and explanations in Kanumi are generated by an AI language model. They are practice material, not authoritative reference. They can be wrong, unnatural, or inappropriate for a particular setting.
- Do not rely on Kanumi's output for anything consequential — medical, legal, financial, immigration, employment or safety matters included.
- Check anything important with a qualified person or a proper reference.
- If you see output that is wrong or offensive, tell us at support@hsiangya.com.
4. What you type in
You keep whatever rights you have in the text you enter. By entering it you allow us to process it in order to run the feature — which includes sending it to our AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy.
Do not enter personal, confidential or sensitive information in the scenario box — not your own and not anyone else's. Describe the situation, not the people in it.
5. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Use Kanumi to produce content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual material involving minors, or that facilitates harm.
- Try to extract, bulk-download or resell our word data or generated content.
- Automate, script or otherwise drive the service beyond normal personal use, or work around rate limits and quotas.
- Probe, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or other users' accounts.
- Resell, sublicense or present Kanumi as your own product.
Generation is limited per account. The limits exist because every generation costs us money; the app shows the current Pro allowance before you subscribe, and we may adjust future limits with reasonable notice.
6. Kanumi Pro subscriptions
- Challenges remain available without a paid subscription. An active Kanumi Pro subscription unlocks custom scenario generation and the Pro allowance shown in the app.
- Monthly and annual plans are billed through Google Play. The purchase screen shows the price, currency and billing period that apply to your Google Play country before you confirm.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel in Google Play before the renewal date. Your Google account is charged when you confirm and at each renewal.
- You can cancel or manage the subscription from the Kanumi Pro page or directly in Google Play. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro remains available until the end of the period already paid for.
- Deleting your Kanumi account does not by itself cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it in Google Play first. Refunds are handled under Google Play's rules and any mandatory consumer law where you live.
7. Availability
Kanumi is provided as is, with no warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, free of errors, or that generated content will be accurate. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. We will give reasonable notice before shutting the service down entirely, where we can.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, lost profits, or anything arising from your reliance on generated content. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Ending it
- You can stop at any time and have your account deleted — see Delete account.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is used to abuse the service, or where we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and for significant changes we will show a notice in the app. If you keep using Kanumi after a change, you accept the new terms.
